I thought I would post on posting for my week last week instead of a lot of little postings! Three days after having a miscarriage (Monday, Dec. 8th), I rolled my ankle down my front steps and sprained my ankle. Luckily, Tuesday Mike was able to stay home and work from home. My awesome friend (yup, that's you Kathy!) up the hill got my girls off to the bus every morning. Sister Schwartz from church brought me crutches and chocolate Tuesday afternoon. That night we did Happy Meals and Family Reading Night! (The crutches made that possible) Wednesday, in the morning I crawled upstairs with oatmeal to feed my baby... I was exhausted by the time I was finished. My visiting teacher came over and watched my baby while I went and found out officially that I had sprained it. Thursday, Mike was able to only have to work a couple of hours at the office and then work from home the rest of the day. He got a break when my sis-in-law came over to keep me company, it was nice to have company. Friday, Rachel came over with her two kids. She took care of me, my baby, her two kids, and cleaned too. Mike was very happy to come home to some order. Late Friday night, I was able to walk a short distance without crutches which gave me hope that my ankle was going to heal sooner than later. Saturday, we went to Bartell Drugs to see Santa!! That night we went to a community church's Christmas Carnival. I was able to walk around on my ankle using my crutches for support. On Sunday, we all made it to church and without crutches!! I was able to hobble around all by myself!! I AM SUCH A BIG GIRL!
What a difficult week it was for you! I know having a miscarriage is so hard, and to add a sprain an ankle on top of that...wow. I'm glad your ankle is a little better now.
