Madelynn had the opportunity to go to Day Camp at church for 8-11 year old girls. She was very happy when she found out that her friend Cassy was going to be able to go too. Even though it threw my week off not having her home, to see her smile at the end of every day made it all worth it. The theme this year was "I Can Plant a Garden". They had 12 groups of girls that were each a different color and flower. Madelynn & Cassy were the Pink Tulips. WOW, I was so impressed with all of the planning that went into this to make it all possible. The cool thing
is that they have the YW volunteer to participate in different aspects of the camp. I guess this year they had sooooo many YW, they had to try and find something for all of them to do. They learned lots of fun songs, did service projects, sewed a bag, played games, walked to the fire department, had a policeman come and talk, learned first aid, and much more! It was neat to watch the 8-11 year old girls look up to these YW!
