It is 5:30 pm on June 25, 2010....
Wezi, my nurse, is working on getting all of the fun chemo drugs going through my body so I can start working on getting rid of all of the evil cancer in my body! Today has been a long day, part of me feels like I just woke, another part of me feels like I have been awake way too long. I am all hooked up and starting my journey.... Mike is making notes of how our day has been spent today.
8 am- wake up in Granite Falls
9 am- load everything in car, scheduled check in 10:30 am
9:30 am- As we get ready to go... phone call from UW, no room until 2 pm
9:45 am- Fred Meyer for fruit
10:30 am- Mom's house
12 pm- Go to UWMC
2 pm- Check into our room
2:30 pm- Port accessed, saline flush for 2 hours
3:30 pm- various meds through port.... anti nausea, steroids to counter chemo side effects
5:30 pm- Chemo begins
5:40 pm- Dinner arrives!! YEAH!!
Hmmmm....hopefully dinner stays down and doesn't come back up to visit!!
