A poem for my wife

My dear sweet Becky, I miss you so

My love for you will continue to grow

Your heart-melting smile; your warm embrace

To continue without you brings tears to my face

Your desires and wishes I’ll always hold dear

The promises made I’ll keep year after year

My memories of you give me strength deep inside

The lessons we learned I’ll use as my guide

May your sweet love forever reside in my heart

In spirit, I wish you’d never depart

Please comfort my sadness with your presence divine

Break through my dark cloud with your heavenly shine

In honor of you, my chin will be high

Determined I’ll walk with a resolute eye

Lovingly teaching our kids hand in hand

So that again, together, a family we’ll stand

  1. Stunning beautiful, Mike. Your children are so lucky to have had Becky as a mother, and both grandparents. You will continue to make a fabulous father, bringing Our Heavenly Father's Spirit and teachings to them. I love you dearly for loving our Becky. Aunt Candy

  7. Mike, your words bear witness of the wonderful husband and father you are! You were blessed with an amazing woman and she was so blessed to share her happiest years with you.

I can't stop thinking of all of you. I know that dear Becky is as near to you and your children as she can be. I know she is happy and at peace, but that her hearts yearns to wrap her arms around you and your children.

My tears and prayers flow for you, your beautiful daughters and sweet little son. You are loved and supported by so many! I know that the powers of Heaven are reaching down to lift you up during this unbearable time.

We all admired Becky for her strength founded in faith and her ability to recognize and cherish God's tender mercies in her life. She went through life with her eyes wide open; never missing an opportunity to live, learn, grow, and laugh! I know that she gained added strength from these very same qualities you possess. You are a match made in Heaven, one day you'll be reunited there.

May the Lord continue to bless you with His gentle peace, perfect understanding, and eternal promises. Our family will continue to call upon Him on your behalf.

With Love, Mary Hamm (I'll see you at Becky's funeral)
